38 Using VS-Link

2. Click the Options tab (under the Main Setup tab).

3. Optionally, click the checkbox to enable Verbose mode for the

Windows NT Event Log.

4. Optionally, select a different value for the scan rate.

Note: Typically you should leave the scan rate set to the default

value (10 ms) for most applications. To adjust latency for

timing-critical applications, select a longer or shorter

interval from the droplist, or type the rate of choice in this

field. Changes to Scan Rate do not take effect until you

restart the NT server.

5. Optionally, click the checkbox to enable RS-485.

Note: You may need to complete setting up some RS-485 features.

Go to the Configuring Specific Port Features on Page 40 for

additional RS-485 configuration.

6. Click the OK button.

7. Click the OK button on the Main Setup screen.
